Everfit Body – Fitness and Nutrition For Life!
My name is Deborah Brooks and I’m passionate about all things health and fitness. In order to share that passion with others, I founded Everfit Body, a mobile personal training and life coaching company. Based on a functional fitness paradigm, Everfit Body offers fitness training, sports conditioning, corrective exercise, nutrition coaching and lifestyle coaching for a holistic approach to health, exercise and wellness.
My passion and commitment to getting everyone off of the couch and back into action motivated me to study and utilize functional fitness and corrective exercise programs to bust the myth that grueling boot camp style workouts and over restrictive diets get the best results. Armed with the mantra, “My clients should feel excited and exhilarated not exhausted and humiliated after exercising,” I’ve taken the work out of working out, improving long term compliance while decreasing acute and chronic injury. My highly motivational and balanced approach to fitness and healthy eating blend the best of western and eastern philosophies. I focus on integrating the desire for a better physique with the need for inner peace and a sense of well being by emphasizing the mind/body connection. Individually designed programs are based on fitness level and health need. From the novice to the competitive athlete the results are immediate and lasting.
An avid athlete and dancer, I began figure skating 7 years ago to fulfill a childhood dream. That dream, to simply learn how to glide gracefully on the ice, has taken me around the world as a gold medal winning, international adult competitive figure skater. Reinventing myself in midlife serves as my motivational platform to inspire others to attain long dormant dreams.
I also offer my straightforward and balanced scientific approach to wellness through my writing and am currently the health and fitness columnist for The Larchmont Buzz. I have also been a contributing columnist for the newspaper, The Topanga Messenger and the online magazine Wine, Women and Chocolate as well as the e-book, Bite Size Wellness. My off-ice conditioning program for figure skaters was featured in the examiner.com.
